Personal information infringement has increasingly become a social problem. IIP Corporation (hereafter referred to as “the Company”) recognizes the protection of personal information as our fundamental social responsibility. The Company has established a management system based on the requirements of JIS Q15001, and is implementing the following measures to ensure appropriate operation.

  1. The Company shall appoint a “Personal Information Manager” to handle and appropriately protect the personal information of customers, business partners, and the Company’s officers and employees.
  2. The Company shall acquire personal information only to the extent necessary for the Company’s business and by appropriate means.
    At the time of acquisition, the Company shall clarify the purpose of acquisition and use of personal information, as well as the contact person for inquiries, before acquiring personal information.
  3. No personal information shall be used or provided outside the scope of the consent obtained at the time of acquisition, except as required by law.
  4. The Company shall take safety measures against threats such as unauthorized access to personal information, and leakage, loss, or damage of personal information. If a threat becomes apparent, the Company shall make every effort to correct the security measures.
  5. In the event that the Company outsources the handling of personal information, the Company shall make appropriate contracts with, provide guidance to, and manage the outsourced company to ensure that it uses, provides, and safely manages the personal information in accordance with the consent given when the personal information was obtained.
  6. Upon receiving a request from the customer to disclose, correct, change the scope of provision, or delete personal information in our possession, or upon receiving a complaint or consultation from the customer regarding this matter, the Company shall promptly respond to the request to the extent reasonable after confirming the customer’s identity in an appropriate manner.
  7. In addition to complying with laws, regulations, national guidelines, and other standards applicable to customer and employee information handled by the Company, the Company shall manage and make necessary corrections to ensure appropriate operation, and shall continually review and improve its personal information protection management system.

Handling of Personal Information

  • Personal information is information about an individual that can be used to identify a specific individual, such as name, date of birth, gender, telephone number, email address, occupation, and place of employment.
  • With regard to the handling of personal information, the Company Shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations regarding personal information.
  • In order to ensure that customers’ personal information is handled appropriately, the Company has established policies for the protection of personal information, provides education to employees, maintains appropriate handling of personal information, and continuously reviews and improves its policies.
  • Personal information shall be handled appropriately in accordance with the prescribed rules for collection, use, and provision of personal information.
  • The Company shall not handle personal information beyond the scope of the purpose of use without the consent of the person concerned. In the event that the Company provides or discloses personal information to a third party, it shall be done in accordance with the procedures stipulated by laws and regulations.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information to be Acquired

The Company shall collect and use personal information (including analysis and statistics, etc.) for the following purposes and only within the scope of such purposes.

The Company shall contractually obligate third parties to whom the Company provides personal information in accordance with the above 4. to ensure the same level of strict management of personal information as the Company, and shall have such third parties implement such contractual obligations.

Outsourcing the Handling of Personal Information

The collection and management of customers’ personal information may be outsourced to system operators and support companies.
